Mt. Olive Pickle Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Packing Operator Mechanic Lead in Goldsboro, NC to oversee daily machine operations, support floor staff, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help drive safety, quality and efficiency across the shift.

The Lead works under a supervisor and may assume some supervisor duties when needed, with a Monday–Saturday peak-season schedule, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role emphasizes setting up, maintaining, and repairing equipment to produce safe, high‑quality

Qualifications

• High school or equivalency needed.
• Additional trades training a strong plus.
• Must successfully complete company training modules for all pieces of qualified equipment.
• Ability to speak, read and write English required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, troubleshoots, repairs and/or replaces parts, and operates qualified equipment in department.
• Under the supervision of the supervisor, coordinates work and resolves production or equipment problems.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspection of all equipment.
• Sets ups, operates, repairs, and maintains equipment in the department to produce safe quality food while meeting department KPI’s.
• Adjusts line speeds as necessary to meet standards and maximize production while maintaining quality.
• Performs daily and weekly operational and pre-operational checks on all equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment including replacement of parts on equipment as required to minimize downtime.
• Cleans and maintains assigned work area, including servicing and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Monitors to assure that all product adheres to food safety and quality critical limits.
