Job summary

Mt. Olive Pickle Company seeks an Operator Mechanic Lead to drive production, quality, and safety in our pickle processing facility. This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.

You will set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment across Cutting, Packing, and Finished Goods while coordinating with supervision and training peers, ensuring food safety standards and accurate labeling.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalency required.
• Must complete company training modules for all equipment.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• CRC (Bronze level or higher) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, troubleshoots, repairs and operates qualified equipment.
• Coordinates work and resolves production or equipment problems.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Monitors labeling and coding quality on all lines.
• Adjusts line speeds to keep pasteurizer tables empty.
• Performs daily and weekly checks and submits repair requests for supervision approval.
• Cleans and maintains work area and performs preventive maintenance.
• Follows food safety and quality procedures.
• Assists in training and supervising peers when needed.
