Job summary

KBR is seeking a Package Engineer – Chemicals, Biofuels & Discrete Manufacturing to lead large international chemical/biofuels projects as Package Engineering Leader. Hybrid work environment with travel to client sites for walk-downs, kick-off meetings and design reviews.

Responsibilities include planning, development of mechanical specification packages, procurement lifecycle management, and strong interdisciplinary coordination to ensure successful construction and commissioning of complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in EPC or chemical/biofuels operating companies.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with large complex packaged equipment systems (e.g., thermal oxidizers, cooling towers, process units).

Responsibilities

• Early project planning and coordination to develop project engineering execution plans for large complex process and manufacturing packages.
• Develop and manage the preparation, review and checking of mechanical specification packages.
• Manage and influence the procurement life cycle with cross-discipline collaboration.
• Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure smooth construction and commissioning.
• Develop complex multi-discipline Construction packages including diagrams, drawings, equipment schedules, details, and Scopes of Work.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Track project scope and schedule and notify project manager of deviations.
