Job summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group in York, PA is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the Underwriting Services Department with policy rating, processing, and issuance, and to communicate with agents.

This onsite role requires attention to detail, strong math skills, and solid experience with OnBase, PD Insurity, and Microsoft Office; you will work with underwriters and producers in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with English and Math coursework.
• Minimum one year property-casualty agency or company experience.
• Proficient with OnBase, PD Insurity, and MS Office.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage heavy volume and work under pressure.
• Strong numerical and rating skills.

Responsibilities

• Process quotes, new business, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
• Perform quality checks on policies, endorsements, and billing.
• Maintain relationships with producers and accounts in assigned region.
• Prepare New Business and Renewal Quotes as authorized.
• Solicit renewal applications and gather additional information.
• Update records in processing system and maintain OnBase files.
• Refer accounts above authority to supervisor for approval.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting service standards.
• Handle coverage inquiries with Underwriters.
