Hi Marley in Boston is seeking a Principal, Industry Strategist to lead innovative communication solutions for P&C insurance, shaping product direction and ROI-driven investments. You will discover high-value problems with customers, define frameworks, and serve as the external industry authority on Customer Service or Sales & Distribution.

The role focuses on automating proactive communication, reducing cost to serve, and guiding multi-year product investments for Hi Marley’s service

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in P&C insurance strategy, product strategy, or industry advisory roles.
• Deep expertise in Customer Service or Sales & Distribution operations, strategy, and performance metrics.
• Ability to translate industry knowledge into actionable product and GTM guidance.
• Strong communication with executives and frontline teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead structured industry discovery with insurance carriers, establishing the source of truth for high-value problems.
• Define and recommend major product investment bets with Product and leadership, grounded in ROI frameworks and validated demand.
• Develop repeatable frameworks for evaluating opportunities, problems, and partnerships to inform prioritization.
• Serve as Hi Marley’s external industry authority for Customer Service or Sales & Distribution, shaping narratives with analysts and conferences.
• Translate market trends and customer insight into clear strategic direction for Hi Marley differentiation.
• Lead packaging and pricing of new products.
• Establish cross-functional fluency in CS or SD challenges and Hi Marley’s service solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automated, proactive communication that reduces cost to serve.
• Resolve complexity in multi-party insurance communication by guiding automation or product investments.
