Job summary

Hi Marley in Boston seeks a Principal AI Product Engineer to build internal infrastructure and tools across teams. You’ll shape data flows, internal knowledge surfaces, and decision surfaces, balancing centralized platforms with team autonomy in a fast-growing insurance tech company.

You’ll work with a small, senior team using Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to ship practical internal products, prioritizing signals from across Hi Marley and delivering value with taste and product instincts.

Qualifications

• Strong design instincts; ships production code without handoffs.
• Proficient with modern frontend stack (React/Next.js/TypeScript).
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Nice-to-have product instinct: prioritize internal asks and ship cohesive portfolios.
• Good taste in UI (spacing, motion, info density) and data-driven decisions.
• Systems thinking about data flows, centralization vs decentralization, and exposure.

Responsibilities

• Build internal operating fabric and tools used by every department.
• Design data layer and expose data to the right audience.
• Design and ship internal agents and surfaces for decision making.
• Run a portfolio of small internal products with prioritized roadmaps.
• Balance centralized platform capabilities with team ownership.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Ops leadership on architecture.
