Responsibilities

• Leads coding staff and provides direction, training, and policy development.
• Collaborates with physicians and HIM leadership to improve documentation and coding accuracy.
• Oversees denials reviews, audits, and compliance with federal/state guidelines.
• Ensures correct chargemaster usage and accurate reimbursement.
• Provides ongoing education to staff on coding, documentation, and regulatory changes.
• Monitors performance and implements corrective actions to minimize risk.
