• Verifies data and abstracts clinical information to maintain data integrity.
• Uses UHDDS standards for principal diagnosis, procedure, and comorbidities.
• Reviews unbilled accounts and case mix reports; assists with quality reviews.
• Communicates with physicians for clarification and supports other coders.
