Job summary

Hire Road, Inc. is seeking an OT Manager to lead engineering teams delivering secure OT/SCADA solutions for automotive paint shops and municipal water/wastewater projects.

You will guide system architecture, network design, and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. The role requires strong leadership, deep OT cybersecurity knowledge, and hands-on experience with SCADA/HMI/PLC systems, Windows/Linux environments, and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering staff.
• Deep OT network architecture knowledge (industrial Ethernet, VLANs, firewalls, VPN).
• Strong OT cybersecurity knowledge and frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST 800-82).
• Understanding of SCADA/HMI/PLC and historian systems; oversee OT and SCADA layers.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, scripting for industrial platforms.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, network diagrams, P&IDs and control architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage stakeholders.
• Project management, prioritization, and resource planning; proposal and labor estimating.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams delivering OT/SCADA projects for automotive paint and municipal water.
• Provide technical direction, performance feedback, and development support to OT/SCADA engineers.
• Establish department standards for OT network architecture and cybersecurity controls.
• Oversee procurement of OT hardware; coordinate with Purchasing and Manufacturing.
• Review designs, network diagrams, equipment submittals, and BOMs; perform field commissioning.
• Travel to customer sites to support project startups as needed; support customer meetings.
