Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a division of OrthoLoneStar in Austin, TX, is seeking an athletic training professional to assist physicians with patient care, including casting, splinting, bracing, and DME application. You will conduct tech visits, gather patient information, and document all care in the EMR in a timely manner.

You will also manage clinic inventory, DME processes, and ensure compliance with OSHA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations while supporting clinic operations and staffing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Athletic Training program (required).
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and LAT licensure required.
• Orthopedic Technician Certification or OPE-C preferred.
• 2–5 years of clinical orthopedic/sports medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care including casting, splinting, bracing, and DME application.
• Perform tech visits, document care in EMR, and educate patients on care plans.
• Oversee clinic inventory and DME processes, ensure OSHA compliance.
• Serve as DME coordinator for ordering, fitting, dispensing, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and support billing/audit readiness.
