Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an OR Registered Nurse Specialty Coordinator to provide direct and indirect patient care in the surgical unit, applying nursing process and current clinical knowledge. The role includes coordination with care teams, preparation of the fiscal budget, and ensuring adherence to standards of care and safety.

The position requires active RN licensure in the state, BLS, and perioperative nursing experience; ACLS/PALS and CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• CNOR preferred.
• SGNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-op, intra-op and post-op care to surgical patients and administers medications.
• Could perform scrub nurse role and assist surgeon with instrumentation and supplies.
• Assists in budgeting, long range planning, and equipment budgeting for the OR.
• Supports efforts to improve patient satisfaction and staff engagement.
• Coordinates with physicians, vendors, and hospital leadership to source and procure supplies and equipment.
