You will apply opto-mechanical design expertise to ensure precision and reliability in high-performance optical systems. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, GD&T, FEA simulations, environmental testing, and transitioning designs to production while collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in opto-mechanical design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (NX, SolidWorks, Creo).
• Strong skills in FEA tools for mechanical and thermal simulations.
• GD&T experience and detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fiber-optic connectors for co-packaged optics, ensuring mechanical integrity and optical performance.
• Perform opto-mechanical simulations using FEA to predict product behavior under various conditions.
• Create and manage 3D solid models of components and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Draft precise 2D engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers for feasibility and manufacturability.
• Develop and execute test plans for mechanical, thermal, and optical validation.
