Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Lead Assembler II Optics for the 1st shift (05:00 - 15:30). The Lead will run daily stand-ups, coordinate training and shift handoffs, ensure the correct tools and accurate paperwork, and monitor team performance to meet production targets.

Qualifications

Must meet the requirements for the level of the employee holding the position.
Must be a minimum of Assembler II to qualify for the Lead position.

Responsibilities

Conduct a daily stand-up meeting at shift start, review safety, quality, production targets, and priorities.
Participate in monthly meetings to review training, 5S audit results, and staffing strategy.
Maintain knowledge of line status, work instructions, and changeover plans.
Ensure correct tools at each station and complete paperwork for shift transitions.
Lead areas by retraining needs, manage workflow, enforce PPE, and monitor performance.
Review hourly production numbers and provide end-of-shift reports to supervision.
Perform 5S audits on a cell weekly and post results on the whiteboard.
Escalate behavioral or performance issues to the Supervisor and engage Engineering as needed.
