Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Oregon seeks an Assembler I, Optics to perform mechanical, optical lens, and electronic assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Attention to detail and experience with pneumatic tools are required; candidates must read precise work instructions and be able to work with small parts.

The role involves standing most of the shift, with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, and adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining a clean, cross-trained team attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination.
• Optical mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Optics handling and cleaning a plus.
• Soldering ability; certifications a plus.
• English reading/writing and math proficiency.
• ERP system experience a plus.
• Detail-oriented with quality focus.
• Willing to cross-train on multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions.
• Operate torque tools, electric drivers, hand tools and optical equipment.
• Maintain high quality workmanship and lean standards.
• Keep workspace clean and follow 6S routines.
• Perform soldering and some electronic assembly.
• Identify lens debris and aberrations.
• Perform quality inspections and detect defects.
• Operate robotic equipment and adhesive dispensers.
