Job summary

Fortune Brands Outdoors & Security seeks a Lead Operator for shredding, grinding, extruding and pelletizing equipment to manufacture recycled polyethylene. You will maintain line performance, ensure safety, and mentor operators on the shift.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills, problem solving, and solid math/read-write abilities; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills for monitoring and data entry.
• Strong problem solving and ability to troubleshoot processes.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead operator of shredding, grinding, extruding, and pelletizing equipment.
• Maintain administrative forms for recycle processes accurately and timely.
• Keep machine settings within SOP parameters and operate safely.
• Manage scrap feeding for proper coloration and properties.
• Maintain 5S in work areas at all times.
• Achieve scheduled output production rates and report on forms.
• Report non-conforming product immediately to management.
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and document properly.
• Assist/train co-workers as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Overtime, holidays, and weekend work as scheduled.
