Job summary

Fortune Brands is seeking a Lead Operator in New London, NC to manage shredding, grinding, extruding and pelletizing equipment for recycled PE. You’ll oversee process parameters, scrap feed, and maintenance while ensuring safety and adherence to quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong problem solving. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be scheduled as needed.

• Basic computer functions knowledge.
• Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot process related issues in a timely manner.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead operator of shredding, grinding, extruding, and pelletizing equipment.
• Maintain machine settings within operating parameters.
• Ensure recycle line runs safely and efficiently.
• Maintain scrap feed for proper coloration and properties.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document results.
• Demonstrate teamwork and train coworkers as needed.
