Job summary

Fortune Brands Outdoors & Security is seeking a Lead Operator to manage shredding, grinding, extrusion, and pelletizing equipment for recycled polyethylene production. Responsibilities include maintaining forms, SOP compliance, safe operation, material feeding, and 5S practices on the line.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, problem solving, and strong reading/writing abilities. Overtime may be required, with heavy lifting and long shifts expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills necessary for daily tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and timely troubleshooting.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all administrative forms for the recycle process with accuracy and timeliness.
• Keep machine settings within Standard Operating Condition parameters.
• Operate recycle line safely within recommended characteristics.
• Manage scrap material feed to ensure proper coloration and properties.
• Maintain 5S in work areas at all times.
• Meet scheduled output production rates and document on required forms.
• Report non-conforming product to management immediately.
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and document accordingly.
• Demonstrate teamwork by assisting/training coworkers as directed by supervisor.
• Other duties may be assigned.
