Job summary

Ever-Green Energy is seeking an Operating Engineer to manage daily plant operations with a high degree of autonomy. You will operate heat pumps, chillers, and water treatment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and supervise contractors to ensure safe, compliant work.

You will prepare equipment for safe work, coordinate with support services, and help meet regulatory and company safety standards while contributing to an inclusive, safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years operating and repairing chillers, heat pumps, cooling towers, electric drives, pumps and related equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to direct others and communicate clearly in writing and orally.
• Able to work with standard tools and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate water treatment activities, monitor, test, log and adjust as needed.
• Run cooling and heating systems, perform routine checks and dispatch off-site facilities.
• Collect data to support KPI tracking and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping per plan and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Respond to off-normal conditions and coordinate repairs with teams.
• Perform minor maintenance walkthroughs and document items for work orders.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage and safety-focused duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and uphold safety standards.
