Job summary

Ever-Green Energy is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join the team at the Hennepin County Energy Center in Minneapolis, MN. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining district heating and cooling plants and supporting equipment.

The role requires Minnesota operating engineer licenses (Second Class A/B with first class A within 2 years) and hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, pumps, and plant systems; strong data analysis and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of plant operations and/or maintenance experience or technical training in a related field.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Hold a Minnesota Second Class A or B Operating Engineer's License, and obtain First Class A within two years.

Responsibilities

• Operate heating, cooling, distribution and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems.
• Inspect plant equipment, distribution piping and facilities for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Isolate equipment and perform lockouts to ensure safety during maintenance.
• Test system chemistry to keep steam and water systems within prescribed bands.
• Maintain operating logs, records and maintenance documentation.
• General housekeeping like plant cleaning, painting and storage organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
