Job summary

Ever-Green Energy in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Control Room Operator to manage operations across Southeast and Main Energy Plants from the control room. The role requires knowledge of boilers, turbines, chillers, and all auxiliaries, with a focus on safe, efficient plant operation and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, boiler operator training, and a Minnesota First Class boiler license, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vo-tech training or equivalent as a Boiler Operator.
• First Class A MN Boiler Engineer's License.
• Ability to coordinate operations and maintenance activities with independence.
• Clear oral and written communication; ability to train others.
• Familiarity with boiler/chiller equipment and maintenance work.
• Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, plant controls.

Responsibilities

• Controls, monitors, starts, stops, regulates, evaluates and is responsible for plant systems and material handling equipment.
• Operate boilers, turbine generator, gas turbine, chillers, and all auxiliary equipment from the control room.
• Ensure safe, proper, efficient operation of all plant auxiliary systems.
• Produce procedures, train others, and support maintenance and operations.
• Conduct operations safely, reliably, efficiently, complying with laws and policies.
• Clean and perform building maintenance to enhance a safe work environment.
• Perform other operating functions to ensure uninterrupted plant operation.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
