Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Lead Operator in Cresco, IA to safely produce multimedia filters by following SOPs and operating lines and equipment.

The role involves assembling filters, operating machinery, inspecting parts with basic measurement tools, and maintaining safety. You will support training and adhere to safety, quality, and DOT/HAZMAT policies. Starting pay is $27.05 per hour with a 2‑pm to 10‑pm shift, Monday–Friday; weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• Perform a variety of tasks safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Interact constructively with all plant employees while following company policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively in a team toward a common goal, react to change productively, and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and be able to work non-traditional shifts and weekends if required.
• Operate in an industrialized environment with motorized vehicles, rotating equipment, manual and power hand tools, and production lines.
• Lift or carry 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Stand for long periods.
• Successfully complete the pre-hire applicant process, including drug and background screenings, and the 60-day probationary period after hire.

Position responsible for safely and efficiently producing multimedia filters by following standard operating procedures and working with various operational lines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble multimedia filters using SOPs and work instructions.
• Operate various types of machinery to process materials and assemblies.
• Inspect parts with quality tools such as calipers and height gauges according to testing procedures.
• Use hand tools, measuring devices, adhesive applicators, and media cutting equipment safely and compliantly.
• Report labor, production, scrap, and other information into production systems.
• Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow plant safety protocols.
• Maintain an organized work area and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Be flexible to move between lines or positions, including ergonomic rotations.
• Assist with training, instruction, or mentorship of employees in training.
• Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT, and company safety, environmental, and conduct policies, laws, and rules.

Pay & Schedule

Starting pay is $27.05 per hour ($25.55 base rate + $1.50 shift differential). 2‑pm to 10‑pm shift, Monday through Friday; Saturdays as needed (noon to 6‑pm).
