Qualifications

• Four years of experience or training in the operation or maintenance of large stationary engines or mechanical equipment.
• EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification (Section 608) for technicians when handling refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors, and maintains boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, generators, HVAC systems, and other central plant equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems, performs emergency repairs, and uses energy management systems to monitor HVAC.
• Coordinates preventative maintenance, inspections, logs, repairs, contractors, and inventory of parts.
• Directs, trains, and evaluates operating engineers and other employees, assigns work, inspects completed work, and assists during emergencies.
