Job summary

The Division of Administration/Office of State Buildings in Louisiana has an opening for an HVAC Control Tech Master. The role requires independent work and advanced knowledge in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pneumatic and electronic systems for chillers, refrigeration equipment, Phoenix Controls, and building automation.

Applicants should have a working knowledge of HVAC operation and proficiency in Metasys and Siemens building automation.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience or training in installation or maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, or electronic control systems for HVAC (boilers, chillers, or air conditioning).
• EPA Universal certification required.
• Proficiency with Metasys and Siemens building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoots and calibrates control modules, sensors, relays and controllers for chillers and refrigeration equipment.
• Overhauls and modifies complex HVAC systems, including large tonnage chillers and related equipment.
• Performs diagnostics on mechanical and electrical controls and makes repairs or bids services as needed.
• Relieves Central Plant Operation as required.
