Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced facilities maintenance supervisor to lead and assist the Chief Engineer in directing repair and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems at a community site in the United States.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of related work experience, trade school or equivalent training, and the Universal CFC EPA certification (or intent to obtain within the first year with JLL assistance).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• EPA Universal CFC certification or intent to achieve within first year (with company assistance).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, with minimal supervision, operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with directing the engineering team.
• Complete painting, pressure washing, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith, and general maintenance tasks.
• Maintain the work order system daily and complete service requests.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations if applicable.
• Troubleshoot all building systems and ensure safety compliance.

Job description

• Lead, with minimal supervision, operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems
• Assist the Chief Engineer with directing the engineering team
• Support facility maintenance at a community in Indian Land, South Carolina
• Complete painting, pressure washing, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith, and general maintenance tasks as allowed by licensing requirements
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program
• Maintain the work order system daily and complete service requests
• Assist with training and supervision to expand the engineering team’s capabilities
• Support on-call or emergency response situations if applicable
• Troubleshoot all building systems
• Comply with safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Perform other assigned projects and tasks

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
• Leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
