Job summary

Humana is seeking a self-driven Lead Software Engineer for its IVR and Omnichannel APIs initiatives. You will design, develop, secure, and scale enterprise APIs powering member-facing experiences across digital and voice channels, in a remote-capable, Fortune 50 environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise APIs.
Strong API security, resiliency patterns, authentication, observability, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with AI-enabled engineering practices.
Experience modernizing APIs in production.
Ability to collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, product, operations, and engineering teams.
Experience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineers.
Strong production support for enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Omnichannel APIs for enterprise apps.
Improve security, resiliency, performance, and reliability through modernization.
Apply AI-assisted engineering to accelerate development and testing.
Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, product, ops, and engineering teams.
Plan, track, and deliver API improvements and cloud capabilities.
Create reusable patterns, proofs of concept, and technical guidance.
Influence direction and timelines with senior leadership.
Provide API lifecycle support from design to incident response.
Offer Tier 3 production incident support.
