Job summary

Humana is seeking a self-driven Lead Software Engineer to join our IVR and Omnichannel API efforts. You will design, develop, secure, and scale enterprise APIs that support Humana's digital and voice channels, delivering resilient, scalable solutions for a Fortune 50 organization.

You will collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, product, and operations teams, mentor engineers, and help adopt reusable patterns while providing Tier 3 production support and contributing to API lifecycle

Qualifications

Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise APIs.
Strong understanding of API security, resiliency patterns, authentication and authorization, observability, error handling, scalability, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with AI, generative AI, machine learning-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Omnichannel APIs for enterprise applications and customer-facing capabilities.
Enhance security, resiliency, performance, and reliability of APIs through modernization and observability.
Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver secure, enterprise-aligned API solutions.
