Job summary

RailWorks in New York is seeking an experienced OCS Superintendent to oversee all phases of transit construction projects. You will coordinate workers, materials, and equipment, supervise subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with specifications, timelines, and budget.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of OCS construction management, strong project controls, and excellent communication. This on-site role offers union benefits and room to contribute to major rail infrastructure efforts.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of OCS construction and management experience.
• Working knowledge of cost, schedule, change management, material, and contract management.
• Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend drawings and specifications.
• Strong management with effective communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develops plans and schedules for completion of construction projects.
• Reviews drawings and designs to ensure specifications are met.
• Performs in-depth review of contract documents for details.
• Supervises craft workers and ensures subcontractors conform to specs and codes.
• Monitors budgets and cost control; tracks project costs.
• Ensures quality standards and safety compliance (OSHA).
• Coordinates inspections, permits, and licenses as needed.
• Manages contracts administration and project closeout.
