Job summary

iCare Health Network in Hartford, CT seeks a Dietary Manager to supervise a team and direct the Dietary Department's daily operation in line with applicable standards and regulations. You will ensure nutritious meals for residents, manage menus, train staff, and maintain food safety practices, while coordinating with other departments to deliver quality nutritional services.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising dietary staff and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Degree in dietetics or food service management or related field.
• Experience with WORD, OUTLOOK and EXCEL.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a multi-cultural environment.
• Knowledge of QA/improvement processes and surveys.
• ServeSafe certification completed.
• Must be able to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Manages all Dietary staff and ensures accountability to all standards.
• Ensures healthy and nutritious food selections are available to all residents.
• Ensures that all food handling precautions are adhered to.
• Provides training and development to all Dietary staff such as meal planning, meal preparation, and sanitary/ cleanliness.
• Plans and manages creative menus and variety of meal choices.
• Ensures the kitchen is properly stocked with food, supplies, and equipment.
• Operates kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
