Job summary
Baptist Health Corbin seeks a Nurse Manager for the Labor and Delivery unit on the 3rd shift (7 pm – 3 am). You will provide clinical leadership, coordinate nursing services, and promote patient-centered care in collaboration with the Unit Director.
The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Kentucky RN license, and at least five years of nursing experience with essential certifications (BLS, ACLS, Stroke, 12-Lead).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Kentucky RN license required.
- Five years of nursing experience required.
- BLS within 30 days; ACLS and Nurse Wound Care within 90 days.
- Certifications in Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke, and 12-Lead Training within 6 months.
- Glucometer Training upon hire; Aegis/DY as identified.
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical leadership and support to nursing and ancillary staff.
- Implements departmental policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
- Promotes effective communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
- Assists with staffing, scheduling, and human resource functions as delegated.
- Supports performance improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Serves as a resource and mentor to staff.
- Demonstrates Baptist Health Core Values and organizational standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
