Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA framework, plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, write reports and verify corrective actions to closure.

You will audit against a licensee's quality organization, maintain independence, and support NRC-style audits. Requires 5+ years in nuclear QA and strong auditing skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus; writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow.
• Maintains lead-auditor and auditor qualification Records.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Supervise auditors and technical specialists on the audit team.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify effectiveness, close them with evidence.
• Support owner, licensee, and NUPIC-style audits of the program.
