Job summary

Enercon is seeking a Principal Project Engineer for the Nuclear Services Group to drive Power Uprate initiatives nationwide. This remote role focuses on strategic planning, client coordination, and delivering compliant, cost-efficient solutions that increase reactor output.

You will work with SMEs and project managers to guide complex tasks, mentor teammates, and position yourself for leadership as uprate projects evolve toward new reactor designs and SMR technologies.

Qualifications

• Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process in power facilities.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or PMP Certification) and 10 years' applicable experience. PE license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discussions, align your team to ensure quality and deadlines, and keep clients informed and engaged.
• Dive into problem-solving, manage budgets, refine proposals, and identify new opportunities.
• Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met.
• Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects.
• Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to schedule and budget, reporting on financial status and project performance.
