Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking an expert in reactor physics and technology to contribute to neutron transport, cross section generation, and code development for lattice physics codes (LANCR) and the PANAC 3D core simulator.

The preferred work location is GVH Nuclear headquarters in Wilmington, NC with hybrid arrangements, and an Atlanta, GA hub option. The role supports software documentation, validation, user training, and regulatory licensing for advanced nuclear methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with 5+ years in nuclear methods development/neutron transport/lattice physics/cross section generation
• Master's degree with 3+ years in nuclear methods development/neutron transport/lattice physics/cross section generation
• Ph.D. with a thesis in nuclear methods development/neutron transport/lattice physics/nuclear cross section generation and 1+ year experience

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development, accuracy and uncertainty qualification, testing, verification, licensing, and maintenance of analytical methods for reactor core/fuel performance evaluation
• Work within NRC-regulated software quality assurance framework for engineering programs
• Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers
• Contribute to and lead team process improvements to drive speed and simplification
• Communicate with users through support, documentation, and training
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies as appropriate
