Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States is seeking a Lead Nuclear Fuel Engineer to contribute to BWR fuel reload licensing and cycle management within GNF-A Fuels Engineering. You will work under mentorship while delivering innovative licensing and design solutions that meet customer requirements, procedures, and NRC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, physics, or another science field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant nuclear experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve complex problems.
• Execute analysis and design calculations to support operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle management.
• Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
• Implement continual improvement of work processes, including procedure and script updates.
• Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in the delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables.
• Share information and promote open dialogue, including working effectively in a matrixed team environment.
• Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards.
• Partner with Commercial Account Managers (CAMs), interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organization.
• Engage in continuous professional development and mentoring.
