Job summary

Framatome is seeking a Principal I&C Project Engineer to join the ICE-U Projects Engineer Business Line in Lynchburg, VA. You will lead innovative instrumentation and control solutions for nuclear power plant applications, designing across Triconex, Foxboro, Wonderware/Aveva, TXS, Siemens, and NI/LabVIEW platforms.

You will mentor staff, develop documents, and ensure compliance with government and customer standards while traveling up to 25% to site locations and supporting successful startup

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree in similar fields may be applicable.
• 7+ years in a related role with readiness to join Framatome.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel/complex I&C architecture solutions for nuclear power plant applications.
• Design process control solutions using DCS/PLC/SCADA platforms.
• Prepare detailed specifications based on project requirements.
• Develop software design docs, requirements and test specs.
• Mentor junior staff in solving complex problems and using standard procedures.
• Plan and implement client solutions ensuring compliance with standards.
• Lead plant site work including start-up and commissioning.
