Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Robotics Electrical Design Supervisor to lead a team of electrical design engineers developing, testing and qualifying robotics, tooling, controls and inspection technology for nuclear plant applications. You will supervise front-line staff, plan work, mentor engineers and ensure compliance with standards, budgets and schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 7 years of related experience, with strong leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and criteria.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in control systems design and motion control.
• FPGA/VHDL programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of electrical design engineers in robotics and tooling projects.
• Plan, direct and schedule engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with government and customer engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and support troubleshooting.
• Prepare high-quality drawings and design documentation.
• Manage project budgets and perform staff performance appraisals.
