Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an I&C Project Engineer to drive medium-to-high risk projects in the Instrumentation & Controls unit. You will apply approved PM methods to meet client needs, develop schedules, coordinate teams, and ensure quality, cost, and timing objectives.

The role interfaces with management and clients, requiring strong communication, root-cause analysis, and MS Office expertise. Some travel is expected; join us to advance clean energy and nuclear technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related field; or comparable experience.
• 8+ years of directly related work experience.
• 4+ years of project-related experience.
• Knowledge of major PM plan development and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of nuclear safety issues and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Use approved project management methods to execute med-high risk projects.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, and materials to meet objectives; update weekly.
• Serve as primary interface between project team, management, and client.
• Develop assignments and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
• Coordinate activities including organizing personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Manage timely invoices and use team-building to ensure satisfactory project performance.
