Job summary

Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, DPC is seeking experienced, full‑time Bridge & Roadway Construction Inspectors (NICET) to join our East Brunswick team. Work will be on-site in East Brunswick, NJ on highway, bridge and roadway projects.

Qualifications

• NICET II+ or Civil Engineering degree is required.
• NJSAT Asphalt Technician Certification and TCP/Traffic Control Coordinator certifications.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or ability to obtain it.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training within a reasonable time.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret written specifications, plans and construction documents.
• Strong communication with clients, supervisors and inspectors regarding specs and test results.
• Detail-oriented with ability to detect non-conformities and prepare timely reports.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection on projects including highways, bridges and roadways.
• Monitor contractor activities and perform field testing using appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Prepare daily field reports and communicate deficiencies to project managers, contractors and clients.
• Interpret drawings, work orders and build documents.
• Follow project safety protocol.
• Carry out related duties to ensure successful project completion.
