Job summary

RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeking a Construction Observer NICET II/III to join our team in Cherry Hill, Morganville and/or Secaucus NJ. This role supports heavy highway construction inspection on infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has NICET II Highway Construction or equivalent, ACI-Concrete Field Testing, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Word/Excel is required for daily reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NICET II Highway Construction or equivalent.
• ACI-Concrete Field Testing certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Inspector conducting construction supervision and field inspection to ensure work conforms to contract documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on major projects.
• Inform the public about upcoming work and minimize disruptions.
• Maintain project records including daily quantities and observations.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and support submittals and RFIs as needed.
• Log observations and provide client with daily reports detailing labor, equipment, and quantities.
• Review payment applications and assist with progress payments to the Client.
• Prepare a final punch list at substantial completion and assist in project closeout.
