Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Bridge Construction Inspector to support NJDOT projects in the greater New Jersey area. Candidates must have prior NJDOT inspection experience and NICET II or higher in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction, plus related certifications.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years bridge construction inspection on NJDOT projects.
NICET II or higher in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction required.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Construction office and project administration.
Document management and electronic processing of field reports, technical data, and meetings.
Daily document control of contract documents.
Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, progress pay applications, and change orders.
Support CM project managers with coordination of field activities.
Copy, edit, and proofread proposals.
Develop marketing materials and qualification packages; create presentations for CM pursuits.
Assist with CM invoicing.
May coach and/or guide a subordinate group.
