Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology or equivalent; track record in NGS assay development.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on laboratory experience in NGS assay development.
• Deep expertise in NGS technologies, library prep, sequencing, QC.
• Experience with low-input library preparation and QC metrics.
• Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.
• Experience in cross-functional, startup-like environments and collaboration with computational teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize NGS assays for tumor and immune characterization.
• Lead NGS workflows including library prep for WGS and scRNA-seq (10x Genomics).
• Optimize library prep for low-input samples to improve sensitivity and reproducibility.
• Oversee sequencing on Illumina platforms including run planning and pooling.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve assay performance and scalability.
• Establish QC metrics, acceptance criteria, and assay validation practices.
• Collaborate with R&D and computational biology teams to integrate wet-lab and analysis.
• Develop SOPs, protocols, and technical reports for regulated environments.
• Maintain meticulous records and contribute to shared protocols.
• Mentor junior scientists and support technology transfer to product development.
