Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead New Mobility Consultant for our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA office. You will lead planning, design, and implementation of cutting-edge mobility solutions and mentor junior staff.

The role requires deep knowledge of new mobility, microtransit, paratransit, and connected or automated vehicles, with strong analytical and communication skills. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning or Engineering or a related field; 7+ years of related experience.
• Familiarity with new mobility, microtransit, paratransit, shared mobility, alternative-fuel technologies, connected and automated vehicles.
• Analytical skills and familiarity with research techniques, geography, transportation networks, systems, and modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail; able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet objectives.
• Proficiency with Python, ArcGIS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Business writing, office software, and communication tools proficiency.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.
• Ability to travel occasionally as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of new mobility solutions or technologies.
• Mentor junior staff in transportation planning and mult modal projects.
• Lead client meetings, stakeholder engagements, and business development efforts.
• Collect and compile observational, spatial, or operations data from multiple sources.
• Maintain quality control for measurements, demographics, patterns, trends, analyses, and reporting.
• Prepare data visuals and reports, including tables, charts, models, infographics, and 3D illustrations.
• Create documentation of memos, meeting minutes, transmittals, and presentations.
• Use current tech to study project areas and sensitivities, including urban, economic, and demographic factors.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and company policies; manage resources responsibly.
• Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
