Job summary

EY is seeking a Lead Negotiator – Associate Director in the United States to steer holistic negotiation strategy for large, complex deals. You will serve as the first chair, advise pursuit teams, and drive the end-to-end deal process with strong business acumen and leadership.

You will mentor regional teams, train on best practices, and manage client relationships to ensure value-based outcomes across EY’s global network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ negotiation and contract drafting experience in commercial and legal terms in the technology services industry.
• Approximately 7+ years of previous first chair negotiation experience in the consulting/managed services sector.
• Experience working in a large, complex global organization with strong negotiation practices.
• Experience leading and managing high‑performance teams; MBA or master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the actual negotiation process as a first chair with client leads to move engagements from sold to closed.
• Collaborate with EY sales lead on relationship mapping and alignment of EY teams to client leaders.
• Provide advice on client commitment to a close plan and on various commercial models for large deals.
• Lead deal documentation and obtain agreement via contractual language with clients.
• Cascade EY negotiation methodology across regions and enable training programs.
• Act as a conduit between account teams and Pursuits & Commercial Excellence leadership.
