Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking a skilled Rigging Specialist to plan, lay out, and install rigging components for lifting equipment, pipe, and steel on construction/industrial sites. The role requires strong knowledge of rigging procedures, safety standards, and the ability to follow complex plans and directions.

You will be responsible for setting up heavy equipment, aligning machinery, guiding loads with tag lines, and ensuring work meets project specs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with field experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of rigging, safety practices, and project requirements.
Ability to understand, follow and communicate written and oral instructions clearly with supervision.
Proficient use of electrical, hand, power, layout and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and structures.
Shakeout items and rig for crane hoisting with proper crane signals.
Guide rigged items into position using tag lines.
Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and resources needed for tasks.
Inspect work for compliance with plans and specs; identify and correct deficiencies.
Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for load handling.
Identify suitable rigging points and select rated rigging based on tension.
Maintain understanding of LHE dynamics and associated hazards.
