Job summary

WellSuited Talent is seeking an experienced Project Manager for multifamily construction in the Washington, DC Metro area. This full-time role leads projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgets, schedules, procurement, and owner relationships, while mentoring a team of project engineers and APMs.

The PM should have 7+ years in commercial construction, with mid-rise or high-rise multifamily experience, and proficiency in Procore and P6. Travel to sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience, including project management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and owner relationships on large projects.
• Experience delivering mid-rise or high-rise multifamily developments is required.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the project from preconstruction to closeout.
• Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting, and monthly cost reporting.
• Oversee procurement, bid packages, scope reviews, subcontract negotiation, and buyout.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule with the Superintendent.
• Manage change orders, owner billings, and subcontractor payments.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Serve as primary contact for owner, architect, engineers, and consultants.
• Lead owner, design, and subcontractor meetings.
• Promote safety and quality with field team.
• Mentor APMs and project engineers to build a strong team.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts and vendor agreements.
• Lead closeout activities including punch lists and turnover.
