Overview

Multifamily Construction Project Manager - Woodbridge, VA. Base pay range: $115,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr. Our client is seeking a mid- to senior-level Project Manager to oversee a large-scale multifamily development currently underway in Dumfries, VA, with transition to Bethesda, MD headquarters for long-term growth across a diverse portfolio ranging from $20M to $200M+.

A highly respected commercial general contractor with over 60 years of success in the DC metro region, with a 70/30 split between new construction and interiors. They work across education, municipal, life sciences, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and commercial markets, with project sizes typically between $20M and $200M+. The firm emphasizes teamwork, culture, and employee development in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of a $90M+ multifamily new construction project.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and quality control.
• Interface directly with clients, consultants, internal teams, and field staff to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Utilize project management tools including Procore, Microsoft Office, Primavera; familiarity with Bluebeam and BIM preferred.
• Collaborate with and report directly to the Project Executive.
• Participate in long-range planning for future projects across commercial, hospitality, higher ed, life sciences, and municipal sectors.

Profile / Qualifications

• 5-10 years of industry experience with at least 2-3 years in a Project Manager capacity.
• Proven history of managing projects $40M+, ideally with multifamily experience.
• Ability to take initiative and operate independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism and polish to interface with high-level stakeholders.
