Job summary

Harbor Group Management Co. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper function of the community’s buildings and grounds.

The role requires hands-on leadership with strong technical skills, customer service focus, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. DMV region property experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in multifamily property maintenance, including turnover/make-ready processes.
• At least one year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Proficiency in diagnosing maintenance issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• Must have EPA Universal or HVAC certification as required by property.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and guide the maintenance team to complete tasks on time.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders per standards.
• Oversee make-ready process including pre-move-out inspections and vendor scheduling.
• Maintain safe, clean, and visually appealing common areas and grounds.
• Schedule and supervise in-house and contractor work.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance per policy.
• Maintain inventory and order materials within budget.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service and address resident concerns.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and avoid unnecessary replacements.
