Job summary

Towson University is seeking a MT Multi Trades Chief II to lead a team across multiple trades, ensuring reliable operation of building systems for a safe, comfortable campus environment.

The role requires extensive trade experience with at least two years in a supervisory capacity, strong knowledge of HVAC, geothermal, electrical, and plumbing systems, and the ability to train staff and coordinate projects.

Qualifications

• Five years progressively responsible experience in the trade(s) where assigned; at least two years in lead or supervisory capacity.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to the trade area.
• Proficiency in electronics, hydraulics, geothermal heating/cooling, HVAC equipment, and mechanics used in maintenance.
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to lead and train skilled and unskilled staff; prepare summaries and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in multiple trades and supervise others to ensure project completion.
• Direct, train, and coordinate maintenance mechanics for operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems.
• Manage building automation and control systems; mentor staff in operation and troubleshooting.
• Schedule work and coordinate with in-house staff and external contractors for maintenance and upgrades.
