Job summary

Devereux California is seeking a Lead Maintenance Specialist to perform diverse maintenance duties across our Goleta campus and surrounding homes. You will lead maintenance staff, handle carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related trades, and ensure safe, well-maintained facilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of semi-skilled maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess current, valid driver's license and maintain clean driving record
• Pass a thorough background check and livescan fingerprint
• Minimum of (1) year of experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair work involving; carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, locksmith, mechanics and general trades.
• One or more years of specialized training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive maintenance duties including carpentry, electrical work, painting, patching/plastering, plumbing, welding, HVAC, lawn care, locksmith work, and general repair work.
• Maintain equipment and tools in proper working conditions and ensure proper storage.
• Complete work order documentation ensuring information is communicated in an accurate manner.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following all regulations and reporting safety concerns immediately
• Maintain equipment and tools in proper working conditions and ensure proper storage. Ensure that time and materials are used in an efficient manner.
• Lead the work of maintenance staff in projects related to area(s) of technical expertise.
• Under the direction of supervisor, acquire proper materials. Identify needs and recommend alternative solutions.
• Complete annual training and ensure certifications remain up to date and complete.
