Job summary

ProTec Building Services in California is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform regular maintenance duties across multiple trades and supervise assigned jobs. You will oversee technicians, coordinate activities at the job site, order materials, and outline responsibilities while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in at least two trades (e.g., framing, electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall).

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in at least two trades.
• Trade, OSHA, and Equipment Certifications are a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License with no DUI/DWI in past five years.
• Ability to use construction, power, and hand tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and processes.
• Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance duties and supervise assigned jobs.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance technicians; order materials and outline responsibilities.
• Evaluate job sites and determine materials needed; purchase and deliver materials.
• Read technical data and specifications; perform repairs/installations per scope.
• Maintain safety on site and report hazards; document time and expenses.
