Job summary

ProTec in California is seeking a capable Maintenance Technician to perform regular duties and supervise assigned jobs across trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and drywall.

You will read technical data, respond to work orders, coordinate materials, ensure safety, and report field observations to management. Valid driver's license required; experience in two or more trades preferred.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in at least 2 of the trades listed (framing, concrete, electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, stucco, masonry, roofing).
• Trade, OSHA, and equipment certifications are a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with no DUI/DWI in the past five years.
• Ability to use construction, power, and hand tools and bring necessary tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and communicate field observations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance duties and supervise assigned jobs.
• Read technical data and manufacturer specifications; perform repairs and installations.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders per scope of work.
• Coordinate materials, plan job responsibilities, and supervise technicians on site.
• Procure and deliver materials for jobs and ensure safe, up-to-code work.
• Record time and expenses and report field observations to management.
